The Buffalo Porch Project
In March 2020, the unthinkable happened. Many small businesses struggled amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Feeling the harsh effects of isolation, Heather launched “Buffalo Porch Portraits” in the spirit of positivity and as an outlet for her desire to celebrate families during this unprecedented time.
After 8 solid weeks of traveling around Western New York, Heather and her assistant, Brian, photographed 115 families. What she never expected was the strong emotion that would come along with taking on this project. The impact on Buffalo’s history is profound and it is her proudest accomplishment to date.
